Ancient Rome
In Acient Rome There was a wealthy upper class which were the senatorials and equestrian classes. The Senatorial class was political and included men who served in the senate, and by extension their families. The senatorials were dominated by nobles. The basis for the Equestrian class was econmoic. A man could be enrolled in the equestrian order if he could prove that he had a stable minimum amount of wealth. The Lower class concisted of Commons, Latins, Foreigners, Freedpeople, and Slaves.
Rome was an innovative republican government that provided the basis for which much of the world now operates its political systems.
The Romans mastered the concept of building bridge and running water. At the height of the Roman power in the 1st and 2nd centuries AD 60 million people claimed citizenship of Rome.
The saying All Roads Lead to Rome alludes to this central hub of technology, literature, culture and architecture in the ancient world. The engineers of the Roman age created an unparalleled network of roads in ancient history
