Raphael Sanzio
Raphael was born on April 6, 1483. He was an Italian painter and architect. His work showd a ver clear expression of exquisite balance and harmony. He balanced work of high renaissance composition. His father, Giovanni Santi, taught him the basic elements of art. Six years after Giovanni's death, Raphael went to study in a workshop located in Perugino. He moved to Rome and his style matured by the help of Michelangelo's example. He was responsible for Stanza della Segnatura, the two largest walls in the School of Athens. It protrays the Greek philosophers and the Triumph of Religion also called Pisputa.
