The Biome of the CoriferousForest
Climate:
* Very Diverse* Pacific tree frogs, rattle snakes, black bears, birch trees, learch trees, alot of moss, alot of fungi and mushrooms in certain forest. lyx and wolverines live in the colder areas. moos and vals live there. black flies, deer flies, and mosiquitoes are veru populous there.
They are mostly covered mountainsides, with tall thick trees. there are 2 types of forest: open forest which have trees spaced apart and closed forest which have trees close together. they also contain lots of small lakes. in the fores are usually bezzy, and on the cooler side.
-Alot of moisture in soil, contains acidic soil also. -Many lakes and streams -Lots of rocks/stones
Between the tundra to the north and the deciduous forest to the south lies the large area of coniferous forest. Usually in the northern hempishere in cooler regions.
*A Coriferous Forest is the largest Terrestial (land) habiitat on earth*
Wheres this?
It gets a tad bit over 3 feet of rain a year
Warm and moist summers, Long and extreamly cold, and dry Winters. The summers are very humid. the winter season is 6 months and the average temp. over that span is below freezing(32 degrees)
Also know as the taiga or cold climate forest.
