The author just wantend people to get a better understanding of life and what it was like to be experiencing World War 2. She has opened up everyones eyes and hearts to this story. From reading this book I feel like I have a better understanding of what life was like back then.
Intertextual Connections This is a very emotional book. it relates to real life and proves that no one has a perfect life. Life is full of problems. The song ''Hands Held High'' by Linkin Park is a good song that relates to this situation. It is a song about war and what had happend in life.
Evaluation This book affected me really well. I like them books that have a meaning behind them. Sometimes I like history books. This is a very touching story. In some parts of the book it made me cry because it is very heart felt and thoughtfull. Losing someone you really love is very sad and can be depressing.
Evaluation I can understand how people feel. I love to help. I do as much as I can to make the other peron happier and I usually put others before myself. Hearing about all the deaths in this book makes me feel bad because it is very painful to come home from school one day and find out that your parents are dead or have kicked you out or even got killed infront of your eyes. The author didn't leave out anything.
