I am in Administrative Assisting as a senior. In this class I have learned a few things about how to keep a business organized and up to date. There are a lot of things about Microsoft word that I didn’t know, like how to use shortcut keys to correct mistakes, and how to correctly type up a memo. We learn office skill like how to file work and answer the telephone in a businesslike manner. All the skills learned will help me in any career field I choose for my future.
Jon Schofield worked for 16 years as a professional accountant for big companies, and a controller for a large corporation, before he decided he wanted to own and operate his own business. Jon realized right away that, even though he has many years of experience as a professional accountant, he doesn’t have the experience or the knowledge to serve the small business sector. He then decided, since he needed to be well trained in small business accounting, to attend the Universal Accounting Centers Professional Bookkeeper Program. The principles taught in the course gave a step-by-step process for building a profitable business. Although it took work and concentration to obtain the knowledge he needed to achieve his dream, Jon is now being rewarded with a successful business of his own.
