Vallerie Wilding is the authour of the book Bloody Tower, a tudor girl's diary.
The story Bloody Tower is a diary of a girl in 1553-1559 living in London England. Tilly has a very small room with no windows and two younger siblings and one older. Her only friends in the castle her own age is Tom who is 15 years old and Frances. Tilly's mother is not happy her daughter being around Tom who feeds the lions and cleans their cages. Tilly's younger sister died at birth, and there are many excecutions in the tower over the Protestants and Catholics.
I think the book is a very interesting story looking back into history. I think younger kids might have trouble understanding the contact but I think is perfect for kids from grade 6 and up. I think people who like history and learning about the past would love this book, enjoy!
