She started acting when she was 13 years old. Miley was the lead role in Hannah Motana. That show made her famous. She then started to recording songs for the show. In 2007 Miley was signed to Hollywood Records to persue a solo career.She went on the Best of Both Worlds Tour the same year, in which she performed as both herself and in character as Hannah Montana.. The tour was so good that it became a 3-d movie.
In 2008 Miley Cyrus released her first solo album. It was called Breakout. That was a big year for her because she was in her first movie as the voice Penny for the movie Bolt. She earned a nomination for the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song. The song was the theme song for the movie Bolt. It was called I Thought I lost You.
