THE TUI!!!
Tuis are honey eating birds so that means they eat things such as kowhai, puriri, rewarewa etc.
BREEDING breeding takes place in september through to october. The male tuis fly up into the air in a V shape then dive down again almost virticly.
DESCRIPTION the tui has a tuft white feathers under their neck and has a patch of black feathers on their back it has some yellow on it's beak from all the flowers it eats, all the rest is paua blue.
LOCATION. Tui are found only in new-zealand, mainly in the NORTH ISLAND. The west and south coasts of the south island.
SPECIAL FACT The Chatam islands have their own type of subspicies!!!!
