Japan's Physical Feautues
About 70~80 percent of Japan is forested, and mountainous area, which is unsuitable for agricultural, industrial, or residental use,because of the steep elevation, with the risk of landslides, caused of earthquakes, soft ground and heavy lake.
Japan is a country of over three thousand islands extending along the Pacific coast of Asia. The main islands, running from north to south, are Hokkaid, Honsh Shikoku and Kysh.

The climate of Japan is mostly temperate, but varies greatly from north to south. Japan's geographical features divide it into six principal climatic zone: Hokkaido, Sea of Japan, Central Highland,, Seto inland Sea, Pacific Ocean, and Ryukyu Ilands.
