Adding, Subrtacting, Multiplying and Divideing Intergers
To add intergers simply take the negitives and subract them from the positives. if the negitives are greater than the positives take away as many as you can and make the left over positives into negitives.
Adding Example 2+ - 1 = 1 because 2 - 1 = 1 4 + - 7 = - 3 because you had 3 left over and you made them negitives.
To subtract intergers simply make a mark over the subraction sign to make it a addition problem. then make a negitive a positive or a positive or a negitive (ONLY DO THIS TO THE SECOND NUMBER!!!!)
Subtraction Example 2 - (- 1) = 3 because the subrtaction sign was turned into a addition sign ( - = + ) and the negitve sign wasa turned into a positive sign. 2 - 4 = - 2 becaus the subraction sign was turned into a addition sign and the positive number was turned into a negitive number.
Mutiplying Intergers when multiplying intergers if the signs are the same the answer will always be positive if the signs are different the answer will alway be negitive
Multplying Intergers 2 x 2 = 4 -2 x -2 = 4 because the signs are the same 2 x (-2) = -4 -2 x 2 = -4 because the signs are different
Dividing Intergers when divideing intergers the same rules apply to divideing as to multiplying
Divideing Intergers 2 / (-2) = -1 -2 / 2 = -1 because the signs are different 2 / 2 = 1 -2 / -2 = 1 because the signs are te same
