"We Real Cool"
THE POOL PLAYERS. SEVEN AT THE GOLDEN SHOVEL. We real cool. We Left school. We Lurk late. We Strike straight. We Sing sin. We Thin gin. We Jazz June. We Die soon.
Gwendolyn Brooks' poem describes how what seems to be high school drop-outs' lives might end up like. The poem did not have a lot of detail because the deeper meanings of the poem make up for the low detailed piece.
