HUMANITIES & MUSIC 2008-09 Apart from birthdays and holidays, we also experienced : Auditing / external evaluation Babies Chocolates (Maureen gave us some) Cookies with tea (helped in winter) Cold (air-conditioning adjustments) Displays (Calvin, Women's Day, Spring / Impressionist painters, Fiction Friday) Evening staff: Thanks, Guys! New this year were: Marius and Hendrik (L1), Bozenna & Gustav (L6). Although, Marius has already left us to be a dominee somewhere... God bless!) Funerals IIP Interviews (Isobel was interviewed by a reporter for the Dept of Music newspaper) Leadership (Liesl & Julene selected for attending leadership academies) Libstats LibQual Music library upgrade plans New - Colleagues (Alett, Heila, Gugu, Thembi) New - Computer(-s) (Julene) New - Dean (Humanities) New - home (Eridine) Operations Overseas trips Open Access Day Soup (we ate some) Studies (Mphumzi, Josiah, Dave) Vikas Swarup event Weddings (Isobel, Rayno & Mari, Asia) ...and other things worth remembering! Thank you to everyone for a great year and the many opportunities we had in which to laugh, despite the pressures and hard times!

Spring Day 2009
The Spring Day Surprise from Maureen to staff was delicious and lots of fun. Creativity was evident all round when staff had to wear something representing an S for Spring / L for Lente. Die loslelie (Elsa S) het kop en skouers bo ons ander uitgestaan!
