Brooklyn won't be able to go home for a while. She will be staying in the hospital then, when she's ready for jaw surgery, she will be ambulanced to the Milwaukee Hospital. When she gets older, she will need reconstructive surgery.

The doctors will need to break her jaw and re-set it because it is pushed too far back which is causing her problems with eating and breathing. Brooklyn's parents will be able to go home on Monday.

All of her vitals are good. Her physical appearance is what worry's everyone the most. Her ears are under developed but she will be able to hear because she has one, although it is small, ear canal.

Brooklyn wasn't having troubles breathing, at first. You see, she has this wierd syndrom that I've never heard of. The chances that she will live are very high. She's a fighter from what we've seen while at the hospital.

I don't have any pictures to post yet because as soon as she was born, she was immdediately taken to Neonatal ICU. I went to see her the next day, she was hooked up to one tube for food, and the other for oxygen.

Those surgeries will help with her ears and, if they think the nose is bad enough, it will help with that. The parents are lucky enough that their insurance has covered every cost except the $20.00 specialist's visits.

*UPDATE* The doctors just discovered on June 17 that Brooklyn has no nasal cavities and had to be ambulanced to Milwaukee. She had surgery to get a tracheotomy put in...

On Wednesday June 22 Brooklyn was dressed in her first outfit since being born. It was all pink, head-to-toe. :) Chris and Dana met with the trach specialist and are learning about that. On Monday the doctors are planning on puting a G-tube in. Brooklyn finally weighs a little over 5 pounds.

On the 23 of July, Brooklyn got a visit from her aunt Jami. Jami held her for over 2 hours then Dana held her for another hour. Most of the time she was sleeping but there were a few times where she opened her eyes. The doctors changed the G-Tube opperation to Tuesday.

On June 24, Brooklyn was having an ''Off Day.'' Dana learned how to suction Brooklyn's trach.

JULY 20, 2011. AFTER OVER A MONTH IN THE MILWAUKEE HOSPITAL, BROOKLYN'S FINALLY COMING HOME!!!!!!!!!

Thanks... :) I'm doin my best to be strong but since she needed to have the tracheotomy put in, I've been loosing hope. I can't loose hope but, its slowly fading. Shortly, I'll be holding onto a tiny string. Maybe it's because I don't see her enough to watch her get better. I need to see you Brooklyn... I love you my baby girl. Thanks... She's breathing a lot better since they did the tracheotomy. :) Keep Praying and Hoping

"UHHGG!!! Dana and I had to take Brooklyn to the ER today. Her apnea monitor went off so Dana and the home nurse tried to suction out a partial blockage in her trach tube. Brooklyn was struggling to breath and started to turn a purplish blue color. They jumped in the car and took her to the ER. They ended up clearing the blockage and went on to do a battery of tests on her to make sure she was not coming down with anything. This is the 2nd partial trach blockage she had had in just over a week." Found this posted on Brooklyn's dad's facebook profile... :-/

Brooklyn's G-tube procedure went well. :) She's still in Milwaukee and will be for about another month. I'll make a trip down and see you in July. Promice. Love you Brooklyn! <3
