Liquids
Molecules in a liquid move faster and slip out of position. Liquids flow because the molecules can move.
water molecuels in the liquid state move over and around one another
Liquids flow to take the shape of the contanier there in but keep their volume
At temperatures above 100C, water becomes a gas. At this high temperature molecules move so fast that they bounce out of the liquid state and become a gas.
liquids have a definite volume but no definite shape. Liquids tend to take the shape of the object there poured into. For example if you put a water in a glass and then take that same water and put it in a bottle the liquid would still be the same amount but the way the liquid is shaped in the bottle is diffrent from what it was in the glass causeing it to look like there is less water or more water
Fast-moving molecules in a liquid can become a gas. For example when you step out of the shower, your wet from the water in the shower, well when you step out of the shower you sometimes feel a bit cold. The reason why is because when water evaporate from your skin the highest energy in molecules are the ones changing from a solid into a gas :)
Liquids can also be changed from a liquid into a gas due to temperature. The temperature at which it changed from liquid to gas is called the boiling point.
