Did I mention that everyone loved me? All the other leaders hated me because of this. In fact, they started a war against me!

I helped make Rome the center of a huge empire.
On March 15, 44 BC, I was stabbed to death by my so-called friends. (other words--the Senate)
I was 1 of the greatest generals and leaders of Rome.
I made the government more honest, I helped the poor, and I welcomed people of conquered lands into Rome.
FUN FACT: The month July was named after me!!
