The Golgi apparatus is part of a cell that that is made out of flattened membrane sacs. It sends proteins and lipids to differnt parts of the cell.

The main purpose of the golgi apparatus is to send new vesicles to different parts of the cell, and add carbohydrates to protein vesicles. Or it can alter new lipids.
Its in animal cells
Its in plant cells!
The golgi apparatus's shape is due to the material that it is made out of. The material is the same as the cell membrane, which means that the vesicles made from the golgi apparatus stick to the cell membrane.
