Central Vacuole
The Central Vacuole is a large, oval shaped fliud filled organelle, that stores water, enzymes, metabolic wastes, and other material.
Plants cells have a storage of large amounts of water called the Central Vacuole.
Other smaller Vacuoles develope, and then connect together creating a Central Vacuole. Central Vacuoles can make up 90% of a plant cell, pushing other ogranelles into a thin layer against the plasma membrane.
When there is a lot of water, the plant's Central Vacuole is filled up, the cells expand making the plant stand upright.
When the plant is dry, the Vacuole looses water, and the cell shrinks.
