Cell Wall
-Found in plant cells, bacteria, fungi, algae, and some archaea cells -Located outside of cell membrane - Provides protection and shape, but is flexible in most cells
- Plant cells contain a secondary cell wall, which is a thicker extra layer of cellulose - It increases the stiffness of the cell wall
Not found in animal cells
Composed of cellulose fiber polysaccarides, and proteins
The cell wall is semi-permiable - certain materials like small molecules and proteins can pass through it
