What a mother should know.
having a healthy pregnancy. get plenty of exercise like: swimming, streching, yoga, etc. have a healthy diet, even though your eating for two you should only consume about 300 extra calories. through out the pregnancy you should gain about 25 to 35 pounds. & get plenty of rest.
First Trimester. in the first trimester you have to be very careful, because your baby is just starting to develop. Its heart will start pulsating and pumping blood. Its back bone, and digestive system starts to form. Your baby's face features start to form, and its leg and arm buds are strating to form. Also the internal organs begin to develop. Now your baby's heart can be heard beating!
If you plan or are pregnant you shouldnt: intake cafine, smoke, get x- rays, use any drugs without a doctors permission, drink alcohol.
Second Trimester By now your baby will weigh about four pounds. It's digestive system is beginning to work, and now you can start to feel the baby. The babys facial features/eyebrows are defined, and his or her organs are rapidly growing..
Third Trimester Now your baby's skin is red, and wrinkled. Its bones are very soft and flexible. Ossification starts right now but doesnt end until age seven. At the full term the baby should be about 20 inches, and its skin is a pinkish whiteish color. When the baby is born it will have a soft spot on the top of his/her head.
After Birth Right after the baby is born the placenta ( the babies nutrient sack) is taken out.
