How do cigarettes get you addicted? What are their hazards?
Nicotine is the drug that speeds up your addiction level. It triggers the release of a chemical in your brain (dopamine) that boosts your mood, makes you feel calm, and at the same time, can make you feel more alert.
In 1994 there was fiber glass found in the filter of cigarettes.
It was used to cut the gums in your mouth, so the nicotine can enter the body.
Theree are currently 4000 different known chemicals in cigarettes. 50 of them are known to cause cancer to humans.
Also a good majority of the chemicals in cigarettes are posionus and dangerous to people's health.
Formaldehyde (embalming fluid) is highly posionus which can cause cancer. Ammonia (toilet cleaner) is in cigarettes for the flavoring also dangerous. Acetone (nail polish remover) is used as a solevent in them also.
