1973 Gas Shortage
In 1973 the US encountered a huge shortage problem when OAPEC declared it would limit or stop oil shipments to the United States and other countries if they supported Israel in the conflict. In the end the US had the shortage come and had many americans dealing with problems of price and demand of the oil and gas.
This graph shows the increase of price of oil form 1861 to 2007. The graph has an increase during 1973 and 1979 form both the oil and energy crisis.
