Overall The Manhattan Project played a huge part in the succeding of the US winning the war. The Manhattan Project produced the Atomic Bomb also known as the Fat Man. The Bomb(s) were dropped on two major cities in Japan. The Fat Man bomb was dropped over Nagasaki and Hiroshima, Japan, on Aug. 6 & 9, 1945, during World War II.
