Lucy Sprague Mitchell: New York Projects
While working in New York, Lucy became associated with Elisabeth Irwin, doing some work on psychological testing of children. She also taught nursery school and kindergarten at Caroline Pratt's Play School.
She continued to develop her ideas on hands-on learning, creative arts, and classroom experiences. Lucy's ideas of educational practice were very different from what teachers and children were doing in public schools in the areas.
