HOW MUCH DOES THIS JOB PAY? Of all jobs, being a doctor usually pays the most money. The Medical Group Management Association's survey says that most doctors earned between $132,953 and $321,686 in 2005. How much they earn depends on their experience, how many hours they worked , and how good they did their job. Specialists usually made more than general practitioners.
How many jobs are there and what is the predicted future? -Physicians held ~ 633,000 jobs in 2006. More doctors are working as partners or in a group. -The number of jobs for doctors is expected to grow faster than the average for all occupations through the year 2016, partly because of the new technology that is allowing doctors to treat more health problems. Also, people are living longer and need more helath care. Job opportunities for doctors are expected to be good, especially in rural and low-income area that may not have enough doctors.
A few of the many types of different doctors -Emergency Medicine Doctors –They respond to many types of medical conditions in the hospital’s emergency room. -General Practitioners – They have regular patients like whole families who see them for sprained ankles, skin problems, or anything they’re concerned about. -Neurologists - They have expertise with the brain and central nervous system. Neurologists can treat spinal cord injuries or deep brain injuries. -Oncologists –Oncologists treat types of cancer. -Pediatricians –Pediatricians treat children and teens; they have stead and devoted clients if they are good with being around young people.
