Deities/Deity - Allah is the lone God of Islam. Allah created the universe. The common saying: “La illaha illa Allah” means “There is no true deity deserving worship but God”. Muhammad is Allah’s top prophecy of his six messengers.

The Shi’ite Muslims, split from the Sunni’s over a dispute on who the successor of Muhammad is. They thought that the successor should have been Ali, Muhammad’s son in law. The Sufi Muslims officially developed around the 10th century, a complete trust in God’s will is taught.
Important People - Allah is the God. Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, Muhammad, are the six prophecy’s (messengers) of Allah. Muhammad is the top prophecy of Allah, and is the founder of Islam. Abu Bakr was the first successor of Muhammad since his death. Abu was Muhammad’s father in law and long time friend.
Ideas of Afterlife - On the Last Day in which the world will be destroyed, Allah will raise all people from the dead. Before the last day, people’s souls will remain in their corpses. But when the day arises, Allah will judge who goes to Paradise (Heaven) and who goes to hell. Paradise is a place of peace and pleasure with endless amounts of delicious food and drink. Hell is a place of pain and suffering, there are different levels of hell, and it depends on the degree of offenses the person committed.
Interesting Facts - Islam is the second largest religion in the world. Islam means “peace”. They believe each person has two angels, which interact with their lives. The most populated Muslim country is Indonesia, with more than 184 Muslims. The Islamic calendar is based off of the stages of the moon.
