what: a trading route connecting china and Europe
Conditions The conditions of the silk road were basically divided into two parts. The East side, more towards Asia, and the West side, more European.. Both sides were equally dangerous. The East side was basically a desert, tharfore the travelers mainly used camels to carry their goods, on the account that they were able to survive the desert conditions. Along with the dangerous heat and sandstorms the desert offers, they also had to deal with bandits. The West side was considered the be more of mountains then deserts. Instead of camals, West Side travelers used Yaks, due to their ability to survive the harsh weather. The nickname for the West Side was trail of Bones, on the account of so many deaths.
why? The creation of the Silk road was for the East and West to be able to trade goods. This interaction helped all nations, and lead to the development of many empires. Along with the silk, slaves, jewels, and other merchendice transported on these roads, many cultures, ideals, religions, and in the case of the plague: diseases.

It allowed the countries that were once unable to effciently trade and become politically involved with each other were now able to thanks to the Silk Road. The Silk Road brought not only goods but religion as well. The Silk Road was one of the key ways Christianity reached Asia.
