Fact #1 The name, Lynyrd Skynyrd, came from the bands' hated gym teacher, Lenaord Skinner.
Fact #2 A fatal plane crash injured 20 and killed six including the vocalist, Ronnie van Zant, and the drummer, Steve Gaines. The plane crashed, October 20th, 1977.
