American Revolution Scrapbook Guide
Your American Revolution War Scrapbook is due on February 27, 2009. You must include the following:
1.Cover Page which includes a)the title b)your name c)the due date
2.Each student will choose 2 items from each category. Categories are listed on the back of this sheet. Each page must contain the following: a)You must include a caption (this is written under a picture or item to explain what it is or its significance) for each item selected . b)You must provide five different facts, each written in a complete sentence, that explain the importance of this event. c)The events should be in chronological order. d)All work in your scrapbook MUST be done by YOU! Parents may assist you with ideas and proofread for mistakes, but they may not write it for you, type it for you, or do the work for you. If someone other than you does the work, it will not be graded.
3.A hand drawn map. Your map should be reflective of the American Revolution time period. Possible map choices: Any of the 13 colonies Original 13 colonies map An important battle An important colonial city Map of a fort (such as Boston or Philadelphia) Paul Revere’s ride The Proclamation of 1763 Southern Campaigns New York Campaigns
You may choose how you would like to present your scrapbook. It may be submitted in the traditional scrapbook form or you may choose to create an electronic scrapbook. If you choose the electronic scrapbook, you should burn all your work to a CD or provide a web link. The electronic form of your scrapbook could be in the format of Power Point, Scrap blog, or a web page. It should contain the following items: a)A scanned copy of your map b)Sound where possible c)All of the requirements for the traditional scrapbook.
4. A bibliography page listing all of your resources used to find information for your scrapbook
