A Glacier came through because it is U-shaped
Trees at the base.
They have a lot of trees at the base of the mountain, probably from the glacier that came through.
Plates collided and came up to create a mountain.
History Millions of years ago, the Earth's crust was stretching causing fault to form. Over millions of years, earthquakes of up to 7.5 shook the grounds. The blocks of land on either side of the fault line slipped past eachother and caused the west block to swing up to form mountains. The east block went down to form the Jackson Hole. Less than 2 million years ago, the air cooled and glaciers carved the mountains, to make U-shaped.
