In this story, Maxwell Kane meets this girl named rachel but everyone calls her worm. He meets her in the park with her mom. He finds out that Worm's stepdad is abusing her and her mom. He goes to her house and he hear screaming so he slams down the door and worm's mom told him to take Worm with Max. So he did. After that happened Max planned no taking Worm back to his house. But he couldnt because the police were there. Instead him and Worm got a ride on an old hippy van.. They were able to get a ride all the way up to Iowa.
From there they had to catch a train with a guy named Hobo Joe.. Hobo Joe told them to take anothe train that took them to Montana where Worm could finally find her dad. But Worm didnt know tha her father had passed away. Max thought that Worm and himself would be safe hiding inside an old mine shaft.
Then the police showed up and the Undertaker was in the passengers seat. The police and the Udertaker found Max and Worm and then they took of into the mine. As the 4 of them were trying to excape the whole entire mine caved in and the Undertaker was trapped under the beams. Grim showed up with Dippy Hippie and they were able to rescue Max and Worm.
