Ayn Rand died on March 6, 1982, in her New York City apartmeant.
Ayn Rand was born in St. Petersburg, Russia, n Feburary 2, 1905.
She wrote and lectured on her philosophy—Objectivism, which she characterized as “a philosophy for living on earth." She published and edited her own periodicals from 1962 to 1976.

Objectivism--If you held these concepts with total convictions, you would have a full philosophical system to guide the course of your life. but to hold them with total consistency--to understand, to defne, to prove and to apply them--requires volumes of thought.
Egoism--the habit of valuing everything only in reference to one's personal interest.
Altruism--the principle or practice of unselfish concern for or devotion to the welfare of others.
Conformity--action in accord with prevailing social standards, attitudes, practices
Anthem-- A way to understand how arrogant or modest people can be to Objectiveism, Altruism, Egoism, Collectivism, Communism, and even Conformity. They don't know what they're doing but do it as long as it provides them with their happiness and wealth. Not others'' happiness or wealth.

Galileo's championing of Copernicanism was controversial within his lifetime, when a large majority of philosophers and astronomers still subscribed (at least outwardly) to the geocentric view that the Earth is at the centre of the universe. After 1610, when he began publicly supporting the heliocentric view, which placed the Sun at the centre of the universe, he met with bitter opposition from some philosophers and clerics, and two of the latter eventually denounced him to the Roman Inquisition early in 1615.
