In order to keep power, King Philip II maintained a strong army and also increaed the kingdom.
King Philip II had three main enemies- The Turks, the French and the English.
King Philip II was carefully educated in the sciences, learned Latin and French, though he never spoke anything but Castilian, and also showed much interest in architecture and music.
