I chose this video because it shows what people have done to their children. It isn't right and trust me, the kids don't like it. What a person does to a child now can affect them for the rest of their life. This video mentions that how you raise a child is how they will be as a person when they grow up. This is a great video of child abuse and it has good facts to what happens.

I also chose to use the lyrics from this video because I feel as if the words have more meaning then they let on and after you watch the video, it gives you more to think about whats happening in our world. It says that we need to control what's going on over here in the United States, forget about sending people to fight off in wars, we need to get our country together first. Also, the lyrics are important to me since it says that people that turn their cheek to abuse to children need to not say they care about the children anymore. If you don't do anything about child abuse, then you are the same to blame as the parent of the child getting abused; if you don't stand up and do something about it, then children are going to keep getting abused. The lyrics really touched me and i hope they touch you in the same ways and have you open up yours eyes to what is going on in our world and that we need to change and do something about it. The lyrics to this video are the perfect example to someone trying to do something about abuse and trying to get the awareness out.
I chose to do my project on child abuse because I was abused when I was a child. I was abused until 6 or 7 and trust me, the memories still haunt me everyday. If no one was there to help me, I am pretty sure I would probably be in a grave today. If no one gets the awareness out about child abuse then, people will turn their heads and act like everything is fine. People say the children will forget since their young, but trust me, its something I will never forget. It affects me as a person, but I'm lucky that someone was there to save me, most cases aren't like that though. I could have been helped at an earlier age, I know neighbors knew what was going on, but they didnt want to believe it, they went on with their lives like they didnt hear me screaming for help or crying everyday and night. The people went on with their lives and turned their heads because they didnt want to get involved in the life I had, but the scars and pain will always be there. My guardian angle saved me and kept me alive in that house, but so many children are never saved. Houses are close enough for people to hear the screams, houses are close enough ofr neighbors to see the cuts, bruises and scras, but it seems like they never care, like they don't even try to care. That's what gets me upset the most, about how it seemed like no one cared and no one seemed to listen, half of my childhood life was wasted because people didn't want to help me. I chose this topic as an opening to peoples' eyes about child abuse and how no matter what...we always remember.

Child abuse is causing phsical and harmful pain to someone by hitting them. Child abuse is a growing epidemic in our country and around the world, 3 children die every day as a result, that is over 1,000 children dying every year because parents don't feel like putting up with their kids. There are 4 main types of abuse; sexual abuse, physical abuse, neglect and emotional abuse. Emotional abuse is the most common form and then physical abuse. Physical abuse scars a child for life and it will haunt them when they are older and affect them. Sometimes the children dn't even get to reach childhood and die from the abuse.
