Solutions
Solvent: -The substance that is used to break down another substance, then causing it to dissolve in with the solvent. Example: Dissolving a sugar cube in water, where the sugar is the solute, and the water is the solvent, which is used to break down the sugar and mixes in with the water.
Solute: -A substance that breaks down and dissolves in another chemical, called the solvent. Example: Alka Seltzer, where the tablet is the solute and water is the solvent, which is used to break down the Alka Seltzer into its different components and mix in with the water.
Heterogeneous: -A mixture consisting of two or more substances that are only physically mixed evenly, there is no chemical bond or change created. Example: Trail Mix, there a whole lot of ingredients, they are mixed evenly, but they are still their own separate elements, no new substance is created.
