The Spell Book of Listen Taylor is about Listen trying to carry on with life while there are distractions all around her. Her dad and his girlfriend split up, her friends decide not to be firends with her anymore and there is a mystery out there for her to solve. Listen finds a spellbook which is suppose to make you fly, will make you strong, will make you glad. What's more, this book will mend your broken heart. Wanting to make her dad and ex - girlfriend get back together, she does the spells. On the day of her school camp, she runs away to do her last spell. But can she save Cath and Cassie before it is too late?
Listen is a secretive girl who doesn't like to worry others. When her friends don't want to be friends with her anymore, she doesn't tell her dad, so he thinks they are still friends. She tries to make new friends but it doesn't work out. I think Listen is a delicate girl who can be shy and confident at times.
