This song reminds me that, right now we may want to grow up qwick as possible; but when we are older we are going to wish that we could have stayed young forever. When we are young we want to be old enough to do all of the things that we couldn't do before: like drive, move out, vote and maybe drink. When we are older we want to be young again to do things that we can't do anymore: like being nearly worry-free. Jay Z and Mr. Hudson are bascially trying to say that when you are young, it is the best time of your life. When you are young everything seems good all the time. Probably your mind hasn't yet be spoiled by the world. Just like every kid, I wanted to grow up FAST. I would se all of the things that "grown up's" got to do, and I wanted to do them too. I wanted a life where I had the ability to do what everyone else could do. When people told me that I wasn't old enough to do something -even simple things like pour my own milk- I would get angry. Untill I realized that kids do that it easier. When you are older you have to worry about bills, food, a place to stay, and somtimes your family. Since that realization; I have been holding onto every second in my young life and have been trying my hardest to make the best of them.
