Rest in Peace Lance Corporal Danny Scherry.
Someone who reflects Jesus to me. Someone who reflects Jesus to me is my friend Danny Scherry. While he was alive Danny was so supportive of people. He was someone who would help you out if he was able to. If he could not he would help you find someone who could. Danny was one of cousin Stevens and my own best friends. Everyone has a dream they want to live, but not everyone gets to live it. Danny was one of the lucky ones who did. He was a Marine. Danny knew that he wanted to be a Marine his whole life. Everyone told him he should have been a football player. He was head strong about what he wanted to do. Danny was in the Marine Corps for 1 years before he died in 2006. Danny was an O.L.A. cougar and a Rocky River piarret . He played football from 5th grade to 12th grade. Danny was someone who helped me a lot. He is the main reason that I know how to play football. He helped me learn to play 3 times a week for 2 weeks. Danny is someone who to me was the type of person that God would want us to be. He was a trusting person. If someone told him something negative about you, he would not believe it unless you told him it was true. Danny was such a kind hearted person. If you met him you couldn’t help but love him. When you would look in his eyes, it was like you were looking at his soul. You could see just how he felt. If Danny did not like you he would try to. It was like the words “I cant” were not in his vocabulary. Danny was a special person that could never be replaced. If you met Danny you know that you just had to love him in a way. In his own special way. No matter what you did Danny would not judge you. Everyone had a clean slate with him. You could see the kindness around him like it was a shield. It would protect him and all those around him. It was a gift from god that I could be his friend even for the short time I got to know him. People like Danny are rare to come by. You cant find a lot of people with kind of spirit he had. Danny may look like your normal Marine, but he was more. He was so much more then that. He was a Marine but he was also a son, brother, student, and a dear friend to all (not to mention a darn good football player) . You cant help but feel like he is there for you, even now that he is gone. Thank you for taking the time to listen and see why Danny is like God in my eyes. Danny is someone i love and will never forget!!!!
