Diaphragm - It relaxes and tenses while you breathe. It's under your lungs.
Trachea: You inhale (breathe in) air through your trachea.
Lungs - They take in oxygen and breathe out carbon dioxide.
The Organs
Respiratory System
The basic process of breathing.
Your body can't store oxygen, so you have to inhale and exhale constantly. Your lungs are surrounded by ribcage, and it rests on the diaphragm. Every time you breathe the diaphragm moves a bit lower so your lungs can expand to inhale and then rises when you exhale carbon dioxide.
The main purpose of the respiratory system is to bring oxygen to the blood to take to organs and use for itself. Also, it removes carbon dioxide from the body.
