The Blitz was one of the most well know parts of world war two, between 7th of september1940, to 10th may, 1941, this involved the bombing of the uk, starting with london, over 43,000 civillians were left killed, and there were over 500 bombs every night, half of them in london had been killed, and over a million houses had been destroyed.

Ann Hoskyns My grandmother grew up around the time of war, born 14th of june, 1933, she was only 6 when the war started, she was exacuated twice from london, and she remembers it all, and she has told me many stories of her past, she is still alive and aged 76
