Mood: the state of emotion in a story
Different Moods: In a story the mood is usually effected by the actions of the main protagonist. Or the actions acted upon the protagonist. Like Mr. Grumpy his mood is of anger, because he is annoyed by the other character Mr. Happy is always cheery so he makes everyone around him happier. Which effects the mood. Mr. Nervous is of course nervous and he makes everyone around him anxious.
The mood of a story, could change with a sentence, or an action of the main character.
EXAMPLES: 1. It was a dark and gloomy night, as the storm raged on and flooded the countryside. (This sentence represents fear. The mood it evokes is spooky) 2. The sun was shining and Lauren walked merrily along the street. (This sentence is cheery, so it creates a mood of happiness.)
