There is no treatment, but oral antiviral medications , which can only be prescribed by a doctor, can help reduce symptoms, heal blisters faster, lessen viral shedding and help prevent outbreaks before they happen. One oral antiviral medication has also been known to reduce the risk of transmission,
Genital Herpes is a sexually transmitted disease (STD). Genital Herpes are blisters that appear around the genitals or vectum. The blisters break, leaving ulcers that take two or four weeks to heal for the first outbreak Usually another outbreak occurs weeks or months afrter the first, but is less severe and shorter than the first outbreak. Even though this virus stays in the body, the number of outbreaks decrease over a period of years.
Description!
Treatment!
Most people infected with genital herpes are not aware of their infection. However, if signs and symptoms happen during the first outbreak, they can be quite noticeable. The first outbreak usually occurs within two weeks after the virus is transmitted.. Other signs and symptoms during the first episode may include a second exposion of sores, and flu-like symptoms, including fever and swollen glands. However, most individuals with genital herpes never have sores, or they have very mild signs that they do not even notice or that they mistake for insect bites or another skin condition.
Genital Herpes is usually spread by having sex with somone who is having an outbreak.. The outbreak means that HSV is active. When active this means that there are visual sores in the genital area. The sores shed of viruses that could infect another person. People usually get genital herpes by having sexual comtact with someone who doesnt know they are infected or hes outbreaks with no sores.
Transmitted!
Results of a nationally representative study show that genital herpes infection is common in the United States. Nationwide, at least 45 million people ages 12 and older, or one out of five adolescents and adults, have had genital HSV infection. The genital herpes infection is more common in women (approximately one out of four women) than in men (almost one out of eight).
