I am a Republican. The Republican party fights for most of what i fight for. I am more of a conservative than a liberal, even though i do agree with the Democrats on some issues, like health care.
McCain: McCain is against abortion and thinks Roe vs. Wade. He says he would appoint judges to the Supreme Court who have the same ideas. Obama: He thinks it's a womens choice whether she has an abortion or not. He says he will appoint Supreme Court Judges who are for Roe vs. Wade.
Abortion
I dont really have an opinion about guns. I dont think that just anyone should have one, and I think their should be restrictions on where you live. LIke if you live in the suburbs and stay here, what do you need a gun for?
GUNS McCain: Against gun control, saying it doesnt work, waiting periods to buy firearms, and resinating assault weapons ban. Says gun makers should be required to include trigger-locks. Obama:Wants tighter background checks on gun buyers, making gun locks mandatory, and holding parents criminally responsible for children who injure someone with a gun found at home. Supports resinating assault weapons ban.
Education Obama: Thinks the no child left behind law had good intentions, but Bush killed it with strict testing. Wants to move away from traditional testing and more money for schools. Lowered rates for colleges and the Pell grants. McCain: Says the no child left behind law needs improvement. Wants to help students and families be able to afford college, and cut rates in half.
I am heavily against abortion. I think the law should be overturned because i think a fetus is a baby.
Health Care McCain: John McCain is against universal health care. He says he would provide tax refunds to low-income families who have to get their own health care, and provide governmental help to familes who earn too much for Medicare, but not enough for private insurance. Obama: Make a plan to lower the prices of health care and make it so they get rates like the governmental employees. Wants to get universal health care. Mine: I kinda agree with both. I think that a plan should be put in place to help the lower America and give them benifits, but if people dont want it, then they dont have to take the help. I also think that government help should be available for families with severe health problems, like Cancer.

GAY MARRIAGES McCain: Is against banning gay marriage in the whole country, but he thinks that a marriage should be between a man and a women. He says states should be allowed to decide whether or not they want to allow gay marriage. Obama: Personally believes marriage is between a man and a women, but thinks the decision should be left up to the states. Supports civil unions that give couples the same rights as non-gays. Would repeal the Defense of Marriage Act.
I think the no child left behind law was good, except it might be holding some kids back from higher placement
I am agaisnt gay marriage. I think that a man and women enter a marriage to show their love and commitment. Gay marriage, among other things, is deluting this commitment.
IRAQ Obama: In 2007 he hoped to remove all troops by the end of '08. Says he's not against all wars, just dumb ones. McCain: Was completley behind Bush in 2007, then became critical of whether things were really going to turn out right. Wants to stay in Iraq to help them set up an army and help improve their economical progress. Me: I think that it was a good idea as far as i can tell to go into Iraq. However, i dont think we should stay fighting for much longer. We might just be aggrivating something that doesnt need to be messed with.
