The lack of band image suggests that they do not need to be on there, for the poster to be recognised as a product of Muse. This ties in with the fact it isn't their first aldum, therefore they have already been established before. Fans would already know what the look like by now.
As I noted when I looked at the digipak for this album, the imsge featured is linked to the album title. The shapes featured are vertically symmetrical which ties in with the title 'origin of symmetry.' However, the way they are placed, is unsymmetrical which contradicts with the title.
To make this poster identifiable on it's own, seperate from the album, they have focussed more on the artist this time by putting Muse's logo really big on the page, taking up almost a third of the page. This shows that the artist is an important part of the poster.
I noticed that the poster for this aldum is pretty much the same as the album itself. It contains the main image of the album, and uses the same fonts. The colour scheme is kept simple, with three colours: black yellow and white.
Also, on this poster, there is no feature of any record label or any form of advertisement, which gives the band a sense independance. It shows they have more freedom than other artists.
