Write "love" on your arm for suicide prevention
Hey Glogster, it's me again! So, today is suicide prevention day, and I wanted to share a story. Once, there was a girl. She didn't have many freinds, and was bullied in middle school. Some other bad stuff happened, and she had hit a wall. She didn't know what to do. She was depressed, angry, and afraid. She was cutting, and planned on doing something horrible. Something final, something devastating to the ones she loved. But then she made a friend. A real true friend, that without even knowingly, saved her life. Then a couple years went by. Everything had been okay. then the sadness came back. She began cutting again, and later tried to take her own life. More than once. She had been hospitalized twice. She hurt the ones she loved by hurting herself. Then finally, she decided enough was enough. She accepted the help given to her and got better. She's there to be with her friends and family. There to experience life, all the fun times with friends, learning, and finding herself. Turning to music and art instead of blades, she got better. And is still getting better. That girl is me. And I swear to you, from experience, if you ask for help, you will get help. Ask until someone gives it to you. Look, I know life can be hard, and talking can be scary. But please please please don't do it. You can't unpull a trigger. And if you're not willing to do it for yourself, do it for your family, your friends. Seriously, you are worth so much and I don't want to see you leave. I love you. (Not in a weird way.) I still need meds and I still feel sad sometimes, but everything is so much better. It will get better. I promise. Just take that first step, and everything will go from there. Sometimes you need to hit the bottom to have enough strenghth to push youself back to the surface. You are worth something, you matter.
