I laid next to you, on the hardwood floor. As you cried and told me your secrets. I held everything in, I could not tell you what I was feeling, I could not give in and let it all out. I might have told you something, but nothing like you were telling me. You tell me of your passionate heart and useless mind. As I sit in scilence, wondering if it will soon be my turn to talk. I know all your secrets, for you've let them all out. But I can't tell you mine. My heart wills me to, but my mind tells me that you'll think of me differently. I know you love me, and I love you. But my secrets would hurt us. They would do more harm than good. I cannot risk losing you. You are the one I want to hold me as I cry. I do not want other arms. My secrets would drive you away. Like it did the others.
