Lights out at Victoria Harbour
28-03-2010
Many buildings on both sides of Hong Kong's Victoria Harbour were plunged into darkness for about an hour on Saturday night. About 2,500 companies, including schools, switched off their lights at 8:30 pm in support of Earth Hour and the fight against climate change. Some of the buildings that took part included the IFC, HSBC, Standard Chartered Bank, Central Plaza and Cheung Kong building.
Hong Kong was one of some 126 cities across the globe to take part in this event. Buildings across the harbour switched off their lights on Saturday night to mark Earth Hour. Photo: RTHK
