Heredity: Types of Inheritance
Heredity is the passing of traits to offspring. This is the process by which an offspring cell or organism acquires characteristics of its parent cell.
Few human phenotypes can be traced to a single gene pair, most traits are limited in nature or reflect variation.
The study of heredity in biology is called genetics, which includes the field of epigenetics which is the study of the processes involved in the genetic development & the activation & deactivation of genes.
There are 5 categories of inheritance: -Dominant-Recessive -Incomplete -Multiple-Allele -Sex-Linked -Polygene
