Quote If there is not a saving of grain sufficient for three years, the State cannot continue.
Quote The world may now look forward to a temporary respite from burdensome wheat surpluses.
What it is and its goal. It is the restriction of agricultural production during the New deal, by paying farmers to reduce their crops. purpose was to reduce crops, to raise crop value. Benefits America by helping the farmers try and earn more money.
AAA (Agricultural Adjustment Act)
Pros: .World War I severely disrupted agriculture in Europe .Able to export surplus food to European countries .The less crops, the more people needed them .Farmers got to keep their jobs, and be able to survive the depression
Cons: Act was named unconstitutional for levying a tax .Agriculture recoverd and exports to other countries was difficult again .More food was produced then consumed, so they lost money
Affect: It gave the farmers money to pay for live-stock, not crops like corn and wheat. With the money from this act, farmers who were poor could pay off their depts. Also not having to pay for there crops.
It Relieved the stress on American farmers, by paying for there crops. It Recoverd hopes for farmers, and for others trying to become farmers. For Reform, They added for local farmers, to include interstate sales.
Does it still exists today? Yes, it does. It improved many condictions of the economic department. Been reformed, yes it has, it is still being reformed today. The same program has been used every year, since 1933. There is rarely any problems today with this act.
