Ideas of an Afterlife : Scientologists believe in reincarnation. which means when a person dies they are born again into another body. They say our bodies are only 'vessels' that we get rid of when we die. After a person is reborn, they don't remember their former life, except for certain traumatic experiences (engrams) which they have stored in the back of their memories, and can 'clear' themselves of them through a counseling process which is called auditing.
Ceremonies Scientologists have the sunday service, wedding ceremonies, funerals, naming ceremonies, and Ministers' Ordination ceremonies. Sunday Service - chaplain gives a welcome speech and reads texts by Hubbard. Wedding Ceremony - like a civil marriage ceremony. Funerals - believe that they will take up another body (reincarnation)
