I sat alone at lunch today Even if I was around a many people Blinking back tears That even I couldn't hold Words that were said not but a moment before, Or that was what it felt like Can you blame someone that needs a friend? ''People, like, try to hang out with us'' It drives me crazy Is what I knew it meant When I heard it, it stung And it still hurts now Someone noticed my tears shortly afterward... That was probably the most surprising and sincere thing that anyone has ever done for me I thought I was invisible A comforting hug and some reassuring words Was the most precious gift Even when a song couldn't cheer me up.
